My name is Gail Prout and I am a Person-centred and integrative counsellor based in Bodmin, North Cornwall. Welcome to my website.

My approach is grounded in warmth, authenticity and compassion, where clients can feel safe, supported and understood. I work with adults, children and young people in person from my counselling room in Bodmin, and online across the UK.

You may be feeling anxious or worried, emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or alone. Perhaps you’ve been carrying difficult experiences for a long time, or you’ve reached a point where things no longer feel manageable.

Whatever brings you here, you do not have to face it alone.

It is my deeply held belief that being truly heard and understood can be profoundly healing, and together, we can gently explore what is happening for you, at your pace and in a way that feels safe.

People seek counselling for many different reasons, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, trauma, low self-worth, grief and loss, experience of abuse, or simply finding that life has begun to feel heavy. You may be struggling with upsetting or intrusive thoughts, constant self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or feelings that are exhausting and difficult to carry alone. Counselling can offer a space to talk openly, explore your experiences, and begin to make sense of what you are going through at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with adults from all walks of life, and have a special interest in supporting those working in farming and rural communities.
