About Me
I’ve always been passionate about understanding people, what influences us, how we experience our emotions, and the ways we relate to ourselves and others.
I believe each person has their own strengths and capacity for growth, even when this feels hard to access. My role is to work alongside you as we explore what feels important and meaningful to you.
What shapes me most as a counsellor is both my personal lived experience and professional training. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in painful emotional patterns, and I also know that real healing and change are possible. I believe in the strength and goodness within people, and I bring deep empathy, calm presence, and respectful curiosity to each person I work with, creating space for you to reconnect with your inner strength and find new ways forward.
A compassionate approach
I work in a trauma-informed, person-centred way, with a gentle, flexible approach that is guided by you and what feels most important in your life. I draw on therapeutic understandings of how past experiences can affect both the mind and the body, helping to create a space that feels compassionate, safe, and supportive of you as a whole person.
I have many years’ experience working therapeutically with adults, young people, and children across education settings, counselling charities, and private practice. This breadth of experience has given me a deep appreciation for the different challenges people can face at different stages of life, and the importance of feeling accepted and supported without judgement.
I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), am fully insured, have full DBS and Safeguarding certification and I am committed to working ethically, professionally and confidentially at all times.
