About Me

Choosing a therapist who feels right for you really matters, and it’s okay to take your time exploring your options and noticing what feels like a good fit. In my work, I aim to offer a calm, supportive space where you can be met with warmth, respect, and care. Sessions are led by what feels most important to you, at your pace, with room for honesty, uncertainty, and even things that feel difficult to put into words. My hope is that you feel listened to, understood, and supported as you make sense of your experiences and begin to find your own way forward.

I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), am fully insured, and I am committed to working ethically, professionally and confidentially at all times.

What shapes me most as a counsellor is both my personal lived experience and professional training. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in painful emotional patterns, and I also know that real healing and change are possible. I believe in the strength and goodness within people, and I bring deep empathy, calm presence, and respectful curiosity to each person I work with, creating space for you to reconnect with your inner strength and find new ways forward.

I’ve spent many years working therapeutically with adults, young people and children, and have experience supporting people through a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression and grief and loss. I have particular experience in helping people navigate feelings of guilt or shame, difficulties with anger, and self-criticism and low self-esteem. I can support you with family, relationship, or parenting challenges, offering a warm, non-judgemental space to explore what’s happening and what you need.

I work primarily from a person-centred approach, and our work is led by what feels most important and meaningful to you. At times, and where it may be helpful, I may draw on ideas from other approaches such as Compassion Focused therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or Psychodynamic theory, always in a collaborative, safe and respectful way.
